NACON VIII
8th International Meeting on
Recognition Studies in Nucleic Acids
Welcome to the homepage of NACON VIII, the eighth international meeting on recognition
studies in Nucleic Acids.
There have been seven previous highly successful
International Conferences on this subject at The University of
Sheffield that were held in 1989, 1992, 1995, 1998, 2001, 2004 and 2007. The Committee of the Nucleic Acids Group of the Royal Society of Chemistry have asked us to organise a eighth Meeting in Sheffield on the same theme. This will take place:
Sunday 12th to Thursday 16th September 2010 at The Edge , The University of Sheffield
As before, the themes of the Conference will be
devoted to interactions between:
Nucleic Acids : Nucleic Acids
Small molecules : Nucleic Acids
DNA
: Proteins
RNA
: Proteins
The focus of the meeting is on all aspcets of Nucleic
Acid Recogniton The Meeting will include more than twenty internationally
renowned invited speakers who will deliver either forty-minute plenary or thirty-minute invited lectures. The confirmed

As well as the above plenary speakers we are, as usual, eager for you to submit abstracts to NACON VIII for inclusion in the programme as either short (20 minute) talks or poster presentations. We are particularly keen to encourage younger scientists to participate
