Airports
The
airports most commonly used by overseas visitors to the
Heathrow: Take the fast train service to
Paddington and then the underground to St. Pancras Rail Station. A frequent
service to
Gatwick: Take the Thames Link
train to Kings Cross-St Pancras and then as above (this connection involves
200m on foot; total journey time about 3-4 hours).
From
Sheffield Station a Taxi will take you to The Edge (about £8-10) (Exit to the
Left for Taxis).

From M1,
Approach Sheffield on the M1 and leave the motorway at Junction 33, following the City
Centre signs along the dual carraigeway A630/A57 Parkway, which ends in a large
roundabout - Park Square. From here, take the third exit, the A61(S) along
Sheaf Street, following the Ring Road signs, and passing the Railway Station on
the left. Stay in the centre lane approaching the Sheaf Square roundabout, and
then take the first exit into Suffolk Road, again following signs for the Ring Road
Turn right onto the Ring Road and now follow signs for the University. Continue straight
on as far as the third roundabout, the Brook Hill roundabout. Take the first
exit, following signs for Glossop A57, passing the main University Western
Bank precinct.
